Chat cost cancellation lets you stop an answer mid-stream. When you ask Quri a question and realize the reply is going the wrong way, you hit Stop. The in-flight model call is cancelled, the tokens it would have spent are not billed, and you are free to rephrase — so a misfired question does not run up cost.
How to do this in Quri
- Ask Quri a question in the chat and watch the answer begin streaming in.
- If it is heading the wrong way, press the Stop control.
- Quri aborts the in-flight model call so it stops generating immediately.
- Rephrase and ask again — the cancelled call’s remaining tokens were never spent.
Frequently asked
- Do I pay for an answer I stopped halfway?
- You only pay for what was generated before you pressed Stop. Cancelling aborts the in-flight call, so the tokens it would have produced after that point are never spent, keeping a wrong-turn question cheap.
- Why would I cancel an answer?
- Because you spotted it answering the wrong thing, or you want to rephrase. Stopping early frees you to redirect without waiting for a long reply you do not need, and it keeps that wasted spend off your bill.
