Cross-tab sync

Last updated 2026-06-14

Definition

Cross-tab sync keeps the workspace you picked and your signed-in state consistent across every browser tab. Switch a client in one tab and your other open tabs follow, so you never act on stale data. Sign out anywhere and every tab signs out too, which keeps a shared computer from leaking the last account.

How to do this in Quri

  1. Open Quri in more than one browser tab as you normally would.
  2. Switch workspaces in one tab from /app/accounts.
  3. Watch your other tabs pick up the same workspace instead of staying behind.
  4. Sign out in any tab and confirm the rest sign out with it.

Frequently asked

Why does switching a client in one tab change my other tabs?
So you never act on the wrong workspace. If one tab showed a different client than another, it would be easy to edit the wrong account. Cross-tab sync keeps them aligned.
What happens to my other tabs when I sign out?
They sign out too. That stops a shared or public computer from leaving an authenticated session open in a forgotten tab after you think you have left.
