Proactive session refresh

Last updated 2026-06-21

Definition

Proactive session refresh keeps you signed in without interruption. Quri quietly renews your session in the background a couple of minutes before it would expire, so you never drop to a login screen mid-task. A brief network or server blip is treated as temporary — your session is kept alive until a definitive revocation, never dropped on a transient error.

How to do this in Quri

  1. Stay signed in and keep working — refresh happens automatically with nothing to enable.
  2. Notice that long sessions do not suddenly bounce you to /login while you are active.
  3. If a momentary network hiccup happens, keep going — Quri retries rather than logging you out.
  4. Sign out deliberately from /app/settings whenever you actually want to end the session.

Frequently asked

Does Quri log me out randomly?
No. An active session is renewed in the background before it expires, so you stay signed in. You are signed out only when your session is genuinely revoked or you sign out yourself — never because of a brief network or server blip.
What happens to my other open tabs when my session refreshes?
They stay in sync. A successful refresh is broadcast across your open Quri tabs so each one continues with the renewed session instead of each tab trying to refresh on its own.
Do I need to do anything to turn this on?
No. Proactive refresh is automatic on every signed-in page. There is nothing to configure — it simply keeps your session alive while you work.
