Live scan progress

Last updated 2026-06-14

Definition

Live scan progress is the moving bar Quri shows while it reads your website. Instead of a blank wait, you see an active bar, the current stage, and an elapsed timer, so you know the scan is working rather than stuck. When the read finishes, your captured product context and audit appear in place of the bar.

How to do this in Quri

  1. Add your domain in onboarding or start a scan at /app/audit or /app/settings.
  2. Watch the live progress bar — it animates with a stage label and an elapsed-seconds timer.
  3. Wait for the read to finish; the bar is replaced by your captured context and audit.
  4. If the read fails, the bar gives way to a clear message explaining what went wrong.

Frequently asked

Why does the scan show a moving bar instead of a percentage?
The homepage read returns in one request, so there is no honest per-step percentage to show. Quri shows an active bar, the current stage, and an elapsed timer rather than fake a number.
The bar has been going a while — is it stuck?
The elapsed timer keeps counting while the read runs. If a read fails, the bar is replaced by a clear error message, so a long-running bar means it is still working, not frozen.
