Anomaly social enrichment

Last updated 2026-06-15

Definition

Anomaly social enrichment answers the question every metric alert leaves hanging: why. When a number moves — revenue drops, signups spike — Quri pulls the matching social chatter from the last month and attaches it to the alert. So instead of just “revenue down 30%”, you get the threads where people are saying why.

How to do this in Quri

  1. Turn on the background social watch so Quri is already collecting mentions of your terms.
  2. Enable anomaly enrichment so fired alerts get the matching chatter attached.
  3. When an alert lands, read the “Related chatter” block for the top threads and a likely-cause hypothesis.
  4. Open the linked posts to confirm what is actually happening before you act.

Frequently asked

Is the likely cause confirmed, or a guess?
A guess, and it is labelled one. Quri ranks the chatter that lines up with the move and phrases a one-line hypothesis from those posts only. It points you at the threads to check — it does not claim to have proven the cause.
Does this slow down my alerts?
No. Enrichment reads the social mentions Quri already collected in the background, so it adds no live fetch to the alert. If nothing relevant matches, the alert ships exactly as it would have, with no chatter block.
What kinds of anomalies get enriched?
Any metric anomaly Quri fires — a drop or a spike. Negative chatter is matched to drops and positive chatter to spikes, so the “why” points the same direction as the move it is trying to explain.
