Funnel drop-off analysis

Last updated 2026-06-15

Definition

Funnel drop-off analysis measures how many people make it from one step to the next and names the stage where you lose the most. Instead of guessing that checkout is leaky, you see the conversion at each step, the biggest leak by people lost, and a plain read of whether the whole funnel holds.

How to do this in Quri

  1. List your funnel steps in order, top first, with the count reaching each one.
  2. Try the free Funnel & Journey Analyzer at /tools/funnel-journey-analyzer.
  3. Read the conversion per step and the stage flagged as the biggest leak.
  4. Connect your sources in Quri Atlas to run this on real users, not pasted counts.

Frequently asked

Which step counts as the biggest leak?
The transition that loses the most people in absolute terms, not the steepest rate. Dropping 700 of 1,000 early matters more than dropping 75 of 100 late, so the analyzer flags where the largest crowd actually falls away.
How is the free tool different from Atlas?
The free tool analyzes counts you paste, with no signup. Atlas runs the same analysis on your real, stitched customer journey across connected tools, so you see drop-off per actual user and get alerted when a stage worsens.
